Gyps fulvus in Banat

In the evening of 15.june.2009 a young bird of Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus) was observed and photographed by Călin Tatu between Satchinez and Bărăteaz above the reservation.

    Asta venea dezorientat din Italia, dupa ce i-au suierat niste alice pe langa capul plesuv, a zis ca e mai bine sa zboare peste tari primitive unde localnicii inca trag cu prastia si dorm in copaci….

  3. Wow! I wish I could spot such beautiful birds in germany. Most of the time you can only observe crows or other smaller birds.

    In your link you mention that it is called “DE: Gänsegeier”. Not sure if I have ever seen one in bavaria.

    yes is a magnificent bird, also from Romania this species is an extinct one, just from time to time is observed.
